What is the Spirit Body?

The term spirit body comes up again and again in David’s work—and for good reason. It’s at the core of how he understands energy, intuition, and human wholeness. But what does it actually mean? And how does it link with the body and the spirit?

David didn’t set out to “find” his spirit body. As he tells it, he used it instinctively from childhood—through flowing prayers, through healing intentions—without even knowing what it was. Later, when life looked good on the outside but felt bland and empty on the inside, he realized he needed to go back to the basics. His intuition wasn’t firing the way it used to. His instinct was off. Joy was missing. That’s when he rediscovered the deeper layers of the spirit body.

Most of us are familiar with the heart as a symbol of feeling and the soul as the core of who we are. But in David’s view, there’s also a spirit heart and a spirit soul—and when they’re separated, we feel lost.

  • The Soul: Strong, indestructible, foundational. It holds the deepest part of us, beyond feelings and moods.
  • The Heart: An interpreter. It translates what the soul is saying, but on its own it doesn’t have all the answers.
  • The Spirit Soul & Spirit Heart: When joined together, they form the spirit body. This is what gives us real intuition, instinct, and connection to self-truth.

In simple terms: your spirit body is the energetic framework that stabilizes and integrates your soul and heart, so they can actually function together.

One of David’s strongest teachings is that you can’t access the spirit body through extreme states—whether overly negative or overly positive. You need neutral energy. Neutrality acts like a universal key. Without it, you might sense the soul but never truly engage with it. With it, you can enter, communicate, and draw on the full resources of your spirit.

Here’s why this matters in everyday life:

  • The physical body is easily pushed around by frequencies, tones, emotions, and other people’s energy.
  • The spirit body, by contrast, stabilizes your senses. It brings your emotions into balance. It makes your intuition trustworthy.
  • Instead of being buffeted by outside forces, you operate from an inner core that’s steady and resilient.

For highly sensitive people, this is especially crucial. Without the spirit body engaged, sensitivity feels overwhelming. With it, sensitivity becomes a gift and a source of wisdom.

These ideas can sound complex—spirit body, spirit heart, light consciousness. And if you only try to grasp them with your head, they may feel confusing. The key is to listen with your senses. Highly sensitive people often recognize the truth of what’s being said not through words, but through direct experience.

When you let your senses engage, you don’t need to fully “understand.” You just know. And once you practice, you can live from that knowing.

At its heart, the spirit body is about integration. It’s about reconnecting the spirit soul and spirit heart so that intuition, instinct, and self-truth are no longer scattered or muted. It’s about stabilizing sensitivity so it becomes a source of power instead of pain. And ultimately, it’s about making everything work—your energy, your decisions, your joy, your life.
